Field Safety Representative Job Duties and Responsibilities
The Field Safety Representative, responsible for ensuring compliance in OSHA’s 1926 Construction Industry standards, including enforcing G&G Enterprises Policies & Procedures for site locations. Reports to Safety Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate jobsite signage for project locations in accordance with federal, state and local requirements
- Attends Preconstruction meetings, and provides Site Safety Expectations, Safe Work Practices, and Basic Safety Rules provided in contract agreement
- Participates in team meetings and provides continuous on-site project presence
- Attend/Conduct Safety Toolbox’s
- Conduct daily Field Safety Observations in Site Docs
- Ensure safe work practices are communicated and being followed
- Review findings with Superintendent, and coordinate action plans
- Track all findings with Site Docs and correct any deficiencies on the construction site
- Issues and reports Surveillance Camera compliance
- Performs monthly vehicle inspections and reports in Site Docs
- Reports and documents all near misses, accidents, and incidents in Site Docs
- Reports daily log of site locations visited
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Associated degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related degree preferred
- 3-5 years of Construction related safety and health experience preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe
- Knowledge of concepts, practices, and industry trends related to safety
- Holds certification (training) in one or all the following: OSHA 10, OSHA 30, confined space, excavation, NCCER Field Safety, NCCER Safety Technology, NCCER CSST, First Aid/AED Certification
Schedule:
- 40 hours per week, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm Monday – Friday; Hours may vary depending on the project.
